Ruru Wines — Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Ruru Wines. These Terms & Conditions apply when you purchase products from us online.
Please read them carefully — by placing an order, you agree to these terms.

1. Who we are
Ruru Wines is the trading name of Roland & Lucienne Enterprises Ltd, trading as Immigrant’s Vineyard & Ruru Wines.

2. Legal purchase age
You must be 18 years or older to purchase alcohol in New Zealand.
By ordering from our website, you:

Confirm you are 18+

Confirm that delivery will be accepted by someone 18+
We may request photo ID (NZ Driver Licence, Passport, Kiwi Access card) before delivery is completed.
If proof of age cannot be provided, delivery will be refused and no refund will be provided.
3. Pricing
All prices on our website:

Are shown in New Zealand dollars (NZD)

Include GST

Exclude delivery fees unless otherwise stated
We may update prices occasionally without notice.
If a pricing error is made, we may cancel or amend an order after contacting you.
4. Ordering
Once you have placed an order:

You will receive an order confirmation

We may decline an order at our discretion (e.g., out of stock, age concerns, incorrect pricing)
5. Product availability
All orders are subject to stock availability.
If a product is out of stock, we will:

Offer a suitable substitute, or
-
Provide a credit or refund
6. Delivery
We aim to dispatch orders within 2 business days.
Delivery timeframes vary based on location. Rural delivery may take longer.
Delivery is complete when items reach the address you specify. A person aged 18+ must accept delivery.
We are not responsible for delays caused by couriers or events outside our reasonable control (e.g. weather).
7. Damaged, missing or faulty products
Our products are insured while in transit.
If your order:

Arrives damaged, or

Is missing items, or
-
Contains faulty product
Please contact us within 3 days of delivery at info@immigrantsvineyard.co.nz and include your order number.
We’ll arrange a replacement, credit, or suitable alternative.
8. Returns & change of mind
We stand by the quality of our wine.
If there’s an issue with your wine — including bottle fault or if the wine is not what you expected — please contact us within 14 days and we will make it right.
We may:

Replace the product

Offer a credit

Offer a refund (case-by-case)
We may ask you to return the wine; please keep the product until we advise next steps.
We do not offer returns or refunds for:

Goods damaged after delivery
-
Product opened and mostly consumed
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
9. Wine Club / Subscriptions (Placeholder)
A Ruru Wines Club is planned for future release.
Subscription terms — including billing, cancellation and frequency — will be added here once the programme goes live.
10. Payment
Payment is due at the time you order.
We accept most major credit/debit cards.
Your card provider may require security checks — this is outside our control.
All transactions are processed securely using trusted third-party payment providers.
11. Cancellations
You may contact us to amend or cancel your order.
If your order has already been packed or shipped, cancellation may not be possible.
We reserve the right to charge reasonable costs for cancelled or returned orders.
12. Intellectual property
All content on our website belongs to Ruru Wines unless otherwise stated.
You may not copy, reproduce, or use our content without permission.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law:

We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or financial loss

Our maximum liability is limited to the purchase price of the product
These terms do not limit your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or Fair Trading Act 1986.
14. Force Majeure
We are not responsible for failing to meet obligations if caused by events beyond our reasonable control (e.g. natural disaster, pandemic, courier delays).
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by New Zealand law.
Any disputes must be resolved in New Zealand courts.
16. Updates to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally.
Changes take effect when posted to the website.
